MID ATLANTIC CONCRETE EQUIPMENT EXPANDS INTO NEW ENGLAND

Lititz, PA - Mid Atlantic Concrete Equipment, Inc., a dealer selling CON-E-CO concrete plants in the eastern United States., recently expanded its territory northward into New York and New England. The company is hiring staff, adding new equipment lines, increasing parts sales, and forming business alliances to offer more comprehensive services to concrete producers.

The acquisition of exclusive rights to sell concrete plants manufactured by CON-E-CO in the northeast, formerly held by Roger Lannon and Associates, means that Mid Atlantic now serves concrete producers in 13 states stretching from Maine to Virginia.

"We look forward to meeting the needs of customers in our expanded territory in the coming months," says Jay Robinson, president of Mid Atlantic. "Of course, we'll be expanding our staff to accommodate the additional territory. We've already hired one additional sales representative in Vermont and are hiring two more along with service and support staff."

Robinson also announced the recent arrival of business partner Owen Blevins. "Owen brings with him sales, service and management experience to help us meet our customers' highest expectations," he says.

An organized effort to grow the company's parts sales business is planned. "Sales of parts were very strong last year," says Blevins. "One of our goals for 2007 is to increase parts sales by getting the word out that we supply parts for all makes of concrete plants, and by making it even easier to buy from us."

Responding to demand for comprehensive, turnkey plant erection services, Mid Atlantic recently formed an alliance with Horst Construction, an experienced provider of construction management, general contracting, and site preparation services.

Also, to round out its already comprehensive list of equipment suppliers and partners, Mid Atlantic has added Ludell (hot water storage systems, water heaters, waste water heat recovery) and Bosch (observation and security systems).

Background
Serving customers in the concrete industry since 1986, Mid Atlantic Concrete Equipment, Inc. specializes in selling and servicing concrete batch plants, automatic controls, dust control and water heating and cooling equipment. Founder Jay Robinson has over 30 years of experience in the concrete business, having worked as vice president and general manager of a medium-sized precast concrete manufacturing firm for five years before starting his own company.

The company is based in Lititz, PA, about 65 miles west of Philadelphia.

Celebrating its 50th year in business in 2007, CON-E-CO, an Oshkosh Truck Corporation Company, designs and builds the industry's highest quality mobile and portable concrete batch plants. Employing 340, the company maintains headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Blair, Nebraska, as well as three other manufacturing facilities in neighboring states and one outside Mexico City.
